Part 1 was such a hit, we added a part 2! Mushrooms contain a well studied compound called beta-glucan, which is not found in many other foods. Beta-glucans stimulate our immune system to work better and more efficiently. By including different varieties of mushrooms into our culinary repertoire, we can protect ourselves from colds and the flu! Other new and exciting research on mushrooms is showing potential to fight cancer, autoimmune disease, and even cardiovascular disease. We'll feature more mushrooms than just the common white button: enoki, maitake, shiitake, king oyster, and oyster, all obtained from local markets. Dishes will include: a dairy free creamy mushroom bisque, pickled medicinal mushrooms, and an Asian mushroom stir-fry.

Cost: $60. Please inquire about our "Frequent Diners Club" which can lower the cost of classes to $45 if you are an ongoing participant. There is a $35 fee for no shows, or cancellations made within 24 hours of the class.
